Cape York 4WD Hire

The best time to do your Cape York trip is in the dry season from May to October.

From Cairns the distance is approximately 1,000km each way. Most tour company's take a minimum of 7 days to go one way and the most direct return leg can be driven in 18 hours. Most people take 7 days each way.

Your 4wd must have a good ground clearance, as the roads and river crossings en route to Cape York are definitely a challenge.
