Cape York 4WD Hire

The best time to do your Cape York trip is in the dry season from May to October.

From Cairns the distance is approximately 1,000km each way and it can be done in 7 days return if you want to do lots of driving and see very little or most people take 7 days each way.

Your 4wd must have a good ground clearance, as the roads and river crossings enroute to Cape York are definitely a challenge.
You and the 4wd that you hire to travel to Cape York will be put to the test as many of the roads have humps, bumps and corrugations.
