DAY 1 CAIRNS - COOKTOWN (LD)

After pick ups around 7.00am we travel the scenic coastline past Port Douglas and Mossman to reach the Daintree - Cape Tribulation National Park area. If weather permits we tackle the steep "Bloomfield Track" and cross the Bloomfield River then into the dense mountainous rainforests of Cedar Bay (Wet conditions dictate use of the 'Inland' road). A short visit to the historic Lions Den Pub, we view the Black Mountain area then on to historic Cooktown. We visit Grassy Hill and visit some of the towns landmarks.(Toilets & Showers)

DAY 2 COOKTOWN - NORMANBY RIVER (BLD)

Today we depart Cooktown and drive the Battlecamp road steeped in pioneering history and infamy. We stop at historic Old Laura for a cool drink before continuing further into the huge expanses of Lakefield National Park. Next is New Laura Ranger Station on our way through the park with its immense wildlife, Ibis, Bustards, Jabirus, Brolgas, Pigs, Crocodiles etc. Camping at Normanby River. (Toilet & Cool Showers)

DAY 3 NORMANBY RIVER - COEN (BLD)

We travel through the entire length of this 1.6 Million acre National Park visiting many water holes with an abundance of wildlife eventually arriving at Musgrave for a short break before heading on to camp at Coen. (Toilets & Showers)

DAY 4 COEN - WEIPA (BD)

We depart early and arrive around lunch time at Weipa. Here there is a chance to do some washing and a little shopping or an optional afternoon fishing trip is available. (Toilets & Showers)

DAY 5 WEIPA - BRAMWELL STATION (BLD)

An optional town and lifestyle tour (own expense) including the Bauxite mining area is recommended in the morning then we drive through productive beef country and camp at Bramwell Cattle Station. ( Toilet & Swim)

DAY 6 BRAMWELL - TWIN FALLS (BLD)

Today see the unbelievable Gunshot Creek crossing as we drive through the spectacular Heathland Reserve, arriving at Twin Falls to camp. Here we hike, swim, relax and enjoy the beautiful series of waterfalls including the Elliot, Twin and Indian Head Falls. (Pit Toilet & Swim)

DAY 7 TWIN FALLS - CAPE YORK (BLD)

Today we traverse more torturous roads, washouts and dips, cross the Jardine River by old world cable ferry then travel on to our picturesque base camp overlooking Torres Strait. (Toilets & Showers)

DAY 8 CAPE YORK (BD)

There is an option today of a day tour to Thursday and Horn Islands - own expense, a bus tour is available on the island. Other options on this day are fishing, a joy flight over the Torres Strait or just relax on the beach. (Toilets and Showers)

DAY 9 CAPE YORK - CAIRNS (BL)

After a sleep in, we drive to the top of Australia and enjoy an exciting walk to the actual tip. After celebrations and photographs we visit historical areas before traveling to Bamaga to catch our afternoon flight back to Cairns arriving at approx. 6.00pm
