DAY 1 CAIRNS - - ROCK ART - JOWALBINNA (LD)

Your adventure begins as we travel over the Great Dividing Range into "Quinkan Country". From Laura, a 4WD track will take you into Jowalbinna Rock Art Safari Camp, the epicentre of “Quinkan?Rock Art. You will be inspired by this afternoon’s rock art walk (optional). This body of work is acclaimed as being among the largest collections of primitive art in the world. Your guide will explain the significance of these artworks, the traditional lifestyle of the artists and the conservation initiatives to preserve these national treasures (reasonable fitness and suitable footwear required). Later relax with a refreshing swim in a bush creek and enjoy the peace of this remote outback location. In the evening relax around the campfire.

Rise to the morning chorus of Kookaburras, Butcherbirds and Blue-faced Honeyeaters, three of over fifty bird species at Jowalbinna. After breakfast in the bush we leave and visit the historic telegraph station of Musgrave before travelling on to Coen and the Archer River, our overnight stop.

DAY 3 TELEGRAPH TRACK - TWIN FALLS (BLD)

This morning we cross the Wenlock River at historic Moreton Telegraph Office. 4WD adventure and fun on Cape York's rugged Telegraph Track this afternoon. Cross rivers and creeks, see prehistoric palms, giant termite mounds and carnivorous plants. You'll be enchanted by the magic of Twin Falls - swimming here, in pristine spring-fed pools landscaped by nature, will be a life long memory. We camp here tonight in the company of millions of stars.

Onward across the mighty Jardine River to our beachfront campsite on the tropical shores of Torres Strait. This afternoon a fascinating visit to the beautiful “Lockerbie Scrub? an isolated pocket of monsoon rainforest before an emotional walk to the very top of Australia ?CAPE YORK!

DAY 5 CAPE YORK - CAIRNS (B)

You'll be sad today when you leave this magical place, and your new friends ?but you'll take unforgettable memories with you as you fly back to Cairns over the Great Barrier Reef at the end of your incredible adventure in Australia’s far north. The safari terminates at Cairns Domestic Airport.
