DAY 1 CAIRNS - HANN RIVER (LD)


After a pick up from your Cairns accommodation the tour will travel through Mareeba and the Palmer River area famous for its gold rush glory days then onto Lakeland's Downs. On to Quinkan country and view Aboriginal rock art at Split Rock. A brief stop at Laura, then onto Hann River to make camp for the night.

 

DAY 2 HANN RIVER - ARCHER RIVER (BLD)


This morning drive to historic Musgrave Telegraph Station, then on to Coen. Camp Overnight at the Archer River Roadhouse.

 

DAY 3 ARCHER RIVER - OLD TELEGRAPH TRACK (BLD)

Today we drive the Old Telegraph Track and cross many crystal clear creeks. We traverse open woodlands country pass huge termite mounds and make camp by one of the many creeks that cross the Old Telegraph Track.

 

DAY 4 JARDINE RIVER - CAPE YORK (BLD)


Another exciting day of creek crossings leads us to the Jardine River which is renowned for its crocodiles. We cross it by Ferry ! Shortly after we arrive at Loyalty Beach our Cape York base camp.

 

DAY 5 CAPE YORK (BLD)


Choose an optional tour day today (own expense) to Thursday Island or take a flight over the Torres Straits. Alternatively relax by the beach at Loyalty Beach.

 

DAY 6 CAPE YORK (BLD)


Celebrate as you stand on the Northern tip of the Cape York peninsular. Pass through dense rainforest and stroll along deserted beaches on the way.

 

DAY 7 CAPE YORK - TWIN FALLS (BLD)


After a brief stop in Bamaga travel to Twin Falls on the magnificent Elliot River. Camp overnight at Twin Falls.

 

DAY 8 TWIN FALLS (BLD)


Relax, swim and explore spectacular Indian Head Falls, Elliot Falls and Twin Falls. A beautiful area, the jewel of the Cape York Peninsular and your camp for tonight.

 

DAY 9 TWIN FALLS - BRAMWELL STATION (BLD)


Travel through Heathlands Reserve and lunch at Captain Billy Landing. Overnight camp at Bramwell Station Australias Northern most cattle station.

 

DAY 10 BRAMWELL STATION - WEIPA (BLD)


Arrive at Weipa around lunch time. Mine and Town tour (Optional) or just relax at our Weipa camp.

 

DAY 11 COEN - MUSGRAVE STATION (BLD)


Visit the Peninsula quarantine station and Coen on route to our camp at Musgrave Station

 

DAY 12 MUSGRAVE STATION - LAKEFIELD (BLD)


Experience Lakefield National Park and its abundant wildlife. Camp over night in the Lakefield National Park.

 

DAY 13 LAKEFIELD - COOKTOWN (BL)


Visit Historic Old Laura Homestead. Then arrive at Cooktown in time to visit the James Cook Historical museum (own expense). Camp in Cooktown

 

DAY 14 COOKTOWN - CAIRNS (BL)


View Cooktown from Grassy Hill, then onto the Black Mountains and stop by at the Lions Den Pub. If track conditions permit venture onto the Bloomfield track visiting Bloomfield falls and Cape Tribulation before returning to Cairns in the late afternoon and a drop off at your accommodation.
